Unit Brief: For this project you will be given a length of fabric along with a range of sewing and printing techniques for creating a unique graphic design to be applied to your Eco Textile project. You will produce the design using a combination of new digital technologies and traditional techniques and apply it to either a reusable shopping bag or a cushion cover.

Project: (60%)Requirements:
Must: Function as a carry bag or cushion cover and fit within the size limitations of the materials allocated. (450 x 450mm) Should: Include a unique graphic which has been applied using a range of techniques that may include: Dye- sublimation printing, Foil Transfer & Stitching Could: Incorperate a personalised design that appeals to a wide audience by adding extra features such as appliqué stitching method e.g. whip stitch and running stitch. |
Folio: (20%)Folio Brief: Your project will need to follow a sequence of development stages and your folio documents this process.
Your Project Folio is worth 20% of your final mark and is compiled of homework tasks and classroom activities. You will be required to complete the folio for homework and submit it to your teacher in order to get the best results you can! |
Written Task: (20%)Written Assignment: Students are to research the unit topic and submit evidence on their findings by answering the questions on the attached research task worksheet.
